Napoleon fireplace FAQs
What warranty do Napoleon gas fireplaces carry?
Napoleon's indoor gas fireplaces carry the President's Limited Lifetime Warranty. Outdoor Galaxy units carry Napoleon's own outdoor warranty; see the product page for its terms.
Will a Napoleon gas fireplace work in a power outage?
Electronic-ignition models such as the Ascent Linear and Oakville have battery backup for ignition. The blower needs mains power, so it won't run during an outage.
Natural gas or propane?
Most models are listed in natural gas. Conversion to propane uses Napoleon's fuel conversion kit for that model and must be done by a qualified installer. Propane input is a little lower (Ascent Linear 36: 16,000 BTU on propane vs 17,500 on natural gas).
What do the letters in a Napoleon model number mean?
N is natural gas (P is propane) and E is electronic ignition. A -1 or -2 suffix marks a design revision, so order trims and accessories to match the full code on your unit.
Is the eFIRE app Wi-Fi?
No. eFIRE connects over Bluetooth, to one device at a time, and the handheld remote overrides the app. It comes included with the Elevation X.
